River Updates & Conditions

June 17
2026
The Upper Delaware River is rather low. The Upper East and West Branches of the Delaware River have the coldest water, with temperatures rising as you go downstream. The Main Stem Delaware River was too hot to fish a couple days ago, but has cooled down since. The dry fly fishing is slowing down, but you can still have hatches of BWO's, Sulphur's, Caddis, and the occasional Green Drake or large Cahill. The nymph bite has been pretty solid in between the bug hatches. Our Delaware River trout will eat a variety of nymphs. Be safe out there!
Pocono Mountain Region
Rivers and streams throughout the Pocono Mountain region are low. Pocono Mountain trout are looking up to various Caddis, BWO's, and Sulphur Mayflies. The day and location will dictate what bugs you might encounter hatching in the Pocono Mountains. Various nymphs are working well in the Pocono Mountains right now too. Wade carefully though, as water levels continue to drop, trout in the Poconos get leery. Also, be aware of water temperatures! Don't fish if water temps are pushing 70 degrees...
