FilingoFlyFishing is far from your average guide service. I built this company from the ground up to be unique and stand apart from the rest. How do I do that you ask..? It's simple - by giving you a fresh and beautiful experience on the water. I wouldn't dare tell you that on my trips your guaranteed to catch "The Largest Fish" you've ever seen. Nope.. I can promise that I will provide you with opportunities to catch fish, however; but I can't hold the rod for you. More importantly, I will make sure we have the time of our lives while on a guided tour together, or when taking a casting or tying lessons. Not only am I a guide, but also a teacher of the art form and rivers. This means that I'll be filling you with knowledge on bugs as we lift rocks together, fish as we see them behave, and every other aspect of the river's lively veins. As our day comes to an end, you'll leave our experience with full confidence that you can catch fish wherever you may be, alone or in company. You'll now have the knowledge and skill sets to feel much more comfortable on the water.

Pocono Mountain Pennsylvania Streams: The rivers and streams of the Pocono Mountain region in Pennsylvania are running high right now. The Pocono's have been receiving a lot of rain with a little more expexted to fall in the next couple days. With already higher flows, you can expect most rivers and streams in the Pocono Mountain area to be on the higher side for a while. When the streams of the Pocono Mountains do start calming down, it's a good time of the year to try throwing streamers and your favorite larger nymphs. Fly fishing with streamers in high spring water can provide great fishing. We've been seeing BWO's, Hendricksons, and Caddis along with a few early Stoneflies left! Either way it's nice to have this warmer weather for now, and hopefully our rivers and streams will calm down in the Pocono Mountain region.
Upper Delaware River: The West Branch of the Delaware River is flowing roughly 1,790cfs and 43-45 degrees at Hale Eddy. The East Branch of the Delaware River is flowing roughly 4,370cfs and 43-49 degrees at Fish Eddy. The Main Stem of the Delaware River is flowing roughly 7,110cfs and 43-49 degrees at Lordville.
The Upper Delaware River in New York and along the Pennsylvania border has a lot of water going through it right now but all systems are dropping. Cannonsville will be in work mode the next few days and flows are being dropped to nearly ZERO. Similar to the Pocono Mountain region the Upper Delaware River has been seeing its fair share of rain which is keeping all systems nice and full. We've been floating with success using a variety of streamers and nymphs. Each day the trout seem to be choosing a slightly different color or size, so be prepared with options when planning a day on the Delaware River system. Fly fishing the Upper Delaware with smaller nymphs right now has also been great. Your favorite patterns in smaller sizes should do the trick! The weather has been nice but some light rain and cooler temps are expected the next couple days. The lower East Branch and Main Stems of the Delaware River (especially the Main Stem Delaware River) have the most water moving through them now. Be careful when you're out there. The Upper East Branch of the Delaware River is the most wadeable right now too! As for bugs you can expect to see BWO's, Hendricksons and Caddis starting to fly! Lets Go Baby!!!!
